Georgios Dimitropoulos is an award-winning documentary filmmaker, innovation incubator, and academic. Founded and incubated several companies in the creative industries and broadcast media. Received 32 International Awards from various Film Festivals and his films have been selected and screened in more than 60 Film Festivals around the world. Traveled and worked in 50+ countries for various projects and ventures involving third sector NGOs, NPOs, CBOs, public and private sector organisations. Received 9 international awards of excellence for transformational leadership and disruptive innovation. Consulting businesses and governments in the last 20 years with their organisational performance effectiveness and growth acceleration via transformational leadership, crisis management, and process innovation. Georgios is a lecturer at the Department of Media and Communication and the Head of the Media Suite Innovation Lab. at Swansea University. Georgios has been researching in the areas of Digital Democracy, Surveillance Capitalism, and Content Verification Technologies. He is a strategic adviser to regional creative consortiums and engagement projects. Donating his time contributing to regional engagement projects and leading not-for-profit community initiatives by promoting media literacy and the use of ethical technologies for the fight against inequality and online disinformation. Devoted to the arts, culture, nature conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity which he promotes through his documentary filmmaking.

Nadia Evans Cook

Nadia Evans Cook is a Film Maker, Cinematographer, DOP and Editor known for her work on Song of Temptress (2014), By Any Name (2017) and Viking: The Berserkers (2014), Viking: The Berserkers (2014), Gwyr: Reflections (2019), Gwyr : Eiliad (2019), No Dominion (2019). Nadia is the Media Suite Officer at the Media Creative Suite at the Department of Media and Communication at Swansea University. Nadia is the senior editor of the Welsh Affairs Documentary Film series.  

Professor Hamish Laing

After a high profile and long career as a reconstructive plastic surgeon in the NHS during which he established and led the South Wales Sarcoma Service, Hamish was Executive Medical Director and Chief Information Officer of an integrated Health Board in NHS Wales until 2018. In this role, he led wide-ranging reviews of Clinical Strategy (“Changing for the Better”) and digital health strategy and secured significant investment in digital health initiatives. Hamish was awarded Senior Founding Fellowship of the Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management in recognition of his contribution to the NHS in 2018. Appointed to a personal chair in the School of Management in 2018, Hamish has established a programme focussed on Value-Based Healthcare. Substantial grant funding for this work has been received by the University through a formal collaboration with the global biopharmaceutical company, Pfizer Inc. Hamish represents Wales at the EFPIA Value-Based Healthcare think-tank in Brussels. Hamish continues to support colleagues in NHS Wales and is Senior responsible Owner (SRO) for a programme to reorganise and rebuild the NHS websites and deputy SRO of the Public and Patient-facing digital service programme; a major investment in helping patients to engage with their health and wellbeing digitally. Hamish is passionate about the importance of Digital Inclusion and ensuring that people are not left behind by the digital revolution. He is delighted to have been appointed chair of the Digital Inclusion Alliance for Wales which brings together public, private and third sector organisations to co-ordinate action for Digital Inclusion.

Helen Bowden
Presenter - Voice Over Artist

Helen Bowden BW.png

Helen Bowden is a presenter and voice-over artist with a career that spans 23 years in the radio business. Helen has worked at BBC Radio Wales as Deputy Editor and has also served as CEO at Swansea Bay Futures for a number of years. Helen is an experienced Voice Over Artist and is working with E Learning providers and large organisations such as The National Hospitality Academy and VoiceBox agency.
